The New England Junior Elite 75 Showcase made its debut last year in the spring of 2009. The event was a great success welcoming many of the top young players the New England region has to offer. Shabazz Napier is the new top ranked player in New England as the Lawrence Academy guard continues to produce at a frantic rate, seemingly picking up more high major interest and offers every day. Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey was in the stands last Saturday as Cheshire Academy visited the Salisbury School. Eric Katenda scored 21 points to lead his team to a 77-68 win. St. Thomas More senior guard Bryon Allen recent returned from a visit to Siena College last week. Siena is one of four schools that the guard is currently considering as Oregon, Boston College, and Providence. Allen spoke with SNY's Adam Zagoria over the weekend.
